Anker is officially opening pre-orders for its new Solix E10 smart hybrid home backup system after showing it off at CES earlier this month. The company describes the Solix E10 as the world’s first smart hybrid whole-home backup solution, combining battery storage, solar input, and a smart fuel generator into a single expandable system designed for long-term power reliability.

According to Anker, a single Solix E10 unit can deliver up to 37.2kW of power, which is enough to handle demanding household appliances such as a 5-ton air conditioner. For homeowners looking for even more capacity, the system can be expanded with up to three additional units, pushing total storage to as much as 90kWh. This setup is aimed at providing extended backup coverage during outages or periods of high energy demand.

The Solix E10 is built around flexibility. It supports both automatic and manual power switching options, allowing homeowners to choose the setup that best fits their needs. When paired with the Power Dock, the system offers a rapid 20ms automatic switchover, ensuring connected appliances continue running without interruption. For those seeking a more budget-friendly configuration, Anker also offers a Smart Inlet Box, though this option requires a manual switchover when power goes out.

Solar compatibility is another key focus. Each Solix E10 unit supports up to 9kW of solar input, with combined systems reaching as high as 27kW when multiple units are linked together. Anker says the system works with all types of solar panels, including rigid rooftop panels, portable options, and third-party AC solar setups. You can learn more about compatible setups by exploring guides on modern solar systems and home energy storage solutions.

In addition to solar charging, the Solix E10 can also be recharged directly through its smart generator using a DC connection. Anker claims this method can extend backup time by up to five times compared to traditional AC generators, making it especially useful during extended outages or in areas with unreliable grid access.

Pre-orders for the Solix E10 are available now through Anker’s official website, with full sales scheduled to begin on February 4. Pricing varies depending on the configuration. The base system, which includes the inverter and battery, starts at $4,299. Buyers who want the base system bundled with the Smart Inlet Box will pay $4,599.

For customers interested in automatic switching, the Solix E10 paired with the Power Dock is priced at $5,799. The most comprehensive package, which adds the Smart Generator to the mix, comes in at $7,399. Every configuration includes a standard five-year warranty, and customers who pre-order will receive an additional three-year warranty extension.

Early buyers are also eligible for a $500 coupon and a gift bundle valued at more than $1,500. This bonus package includes a 400W solar panel, and securing the offer requires a $10 pre-order deposit.

With growing interest in home energy independence and backup power solutions, Anker’s Solix E10 enters a rapidly expanding market alongside other whole-home battery and solar systems. Its modular design, wide solar compatibility, and multiple configuration options position it as a flexible solution for homeowners preparing for outages, rising energy costs, or off-grid capability.
