Which deals were actually the best value
Not all “deals” are equal, and this is where most roundups stop short. A few rules of thumb from past years:
- Per-piece price wins. A grocery deli deal like Harris Teeter’s 2025 $7.99 8-piece works out to about $1 a piece. That beats almost any restaurant offer if you’re feeding a family.
- Minimum-spend coupons favor big orders. Bonchon’s $5 off $15 is a 33% discount at exactly $15 and less as your order grows. It makes sense for two people, not one.
- Free delivery is only worth it if you were going to order delivery anyway. Delivery fees often run $3 to $6, so Jollibee’s offer saved real money, but menu prices in apps can be higher than in store.
- BOGO is the best deal for solo eaters who can split with a friend or save the second item for later.

For Floridians, the practical advice is simple: check your local store in the app before you drive. Franchise locations in the state don’t always join national promos. Publix deli deals show up in the weekly ad, not as holiday promotions, so watch that instead.

Chains announce these offers through their own apps, email lists and social accounts, not through press releases. The official terms live in the app’s offer details. That is the only place that settles questions about dates, locations and exclusions.

Nov. 9 is the next date to watch. To be ready:
- Download the apps now. Create accounts with KFC, Popeyes, Burger King, Church’s, Zaxby’s and Bonchon a week or two early. Some offers only go to existing members.
- Turn on push notifications for the two or three chains you actually visit. Offers often go up the night before.
- Check the fine print in the app. Look for the dates, minimum spend and whether the offer works for delivery.
- Compare per-person cost, not the headline discount.
